Are you curious about doing obstacle work with your horse but don't know where to start? Join us for the comprehensive Basics of Obstacles Level 1 Clinic at Sweet Grass Farm in Orton, ON. There are two parts to the day. In the morning, we'll spend two hours with your horse in-hand to learn about where to start when introducing obstacles. We'll refine some in-hand tools to make the process safe for you and your horse. In the afternoon, we'll saddle up and take two hours to use some of those tools to build a variety of obstacles, making a plan, helping your horse to learn what you expect and think it through, together. This clinic can be useful for recreational riders, competitors in obstacle events, or those bringing along young/green horses. Learn how to introduce obstacles with the future in mind. You'll come away with a process to use in many places in many ways. Cost is $113 which includes HST. We'll go rain or shine, with indoor facilities available in case of heat, flies or rain.
