Welcome to Sweet Grass Farm. We offer a safe, quiet place to bring your horse for interesting obstacle work and recreational time. Located near Orton, Ontario, we have an indoor arena, a 100'x200' fenced grass ring, two round pens, and several dozen obstacles that can be arranged to suit your riding/training level or your own goals, including courses for Extreme Cowboy competition, recreational trail riding, or just using obstacles to improve your connection with your horse. There is lots of parking and outdoor pens can be made available for your horse.
Park use is $30 per horse and rider combo for roughly two hours. There are the usual waivers to sign and proof of OE personal OE insurance or equivalent is required. Bring a lunch and enjoy your time to the fullest. Or you can come for a lesson - coaching is available from myself, a lifelong obstacle junkie and a Level 1 EXCA Judge, for $60/hour. For those interested in competition, we can also do mock Extreme Cowboy course runs with feedback and set you up with your own personal strategy.
